» Two BHS athletes all-state

A pair of Bandon High School athletes received all-state recognition in baseball and softball.

Softball player Ashley O’Grady, a junior third baseman, received honorable mention all-state honors as an infielder. O’Grady was an all-state utility player as a freshman.

Sunset Conference players named first-team all-state this year included pitcher Molly Hockema of Gold Beach, and catcher Alexa Skinner and infielder Lindsey Mann, both of Glide.

The Tiger baseball team’s sophomore infielder/pitcher Jimmy Mack received all-state honorable mention as an infielder.

First baseman Kelley White of Rogue River and utility/designated hitter Josh Huskey of Glide were named first-team all-state. Rogue River’s John White was named coach of the year.
