1:28 p.m., a woman reported receiving harassing text messages; suspect warned.
3:29 p.m., gave bicycle helmets to two riders.
3:47 p.m., responded to a minor injury accident involving a car and a bicyclist at U.S. Highway 101 and 11th Street.
7:48 p.m., received a request for patrol checks in the area of a rental home on Beach Loop Drive.
July 71:37 a.m., responded to a complaint about a loud party in the Franklin Avenue area; suspects warned.
10:15 a.m., chief warned tenants on Franklin Avenue regarding ongoing noise problems.
2:08 p.m., a man reported receiving harassing text messages; will recall if problem persists.
2:48 p.m., Bullards Beach State Park host reported a theft; referred to state police.
10:59 p.m., received information about a suspicious vehicle on Fifth Street Southeast.
July 89:30 a.m., provided information to a citizen at City Hall regarding concealed weapons permits.
1:04 p.m., found a wallet belonging to a California man.
6:45 p.m., asked a panhandler at Ninth Street and Oregon Avenue to move on.
7:05 p.m., gave a bicyclist a helmet.
7:59 p.m., report of a lawn mower on state Highway 42S near Prosper Junction; made contact; no problem.
10:46 p.m., arrested Dean Andrejczak, 45, of Bandon on Ninth Street Southwest on a Michigan State Police warrant charging fraud; taken to jail.
CLARIFICATION: Although a Michigan arrest warrant received by the Bandon Police Department listed a fraud charge, that charge was incorrect. The Bandon Western World has confirmed that the original charge was actually a felony charge of writing a non-sufficient funds check for $500 or more.July 98:40 a.m., employee at Bandon Western World, 1185 Baltimore Ave. reported finding a suspcious note that had been dropped through the mail slot. Roseburg Police Department contacted.
12:58 p.m., caller on cell phone reported a white pickup with a refrigerator or stove in the back weaving all over the road. Unable to locate.
5:29 p.m., man in the 1100 block of Fourth Street reported that his neighbor’s dog attacked his dog.
5:49 p.m., a 22-year-old Bandon man in the 1200 block of Ohio Avenue Northeast was cited for permitting the unlawful operation of a vehicle, and a 22-year-old Bandon woman at the same address was cited for driving while suspended.
6:49 p.m., following a traffic stop, police arrested Robert Ian Merritt, 29, of Estacada on a probation violation detainer authorized by Clackamas County and on a charge of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
July 103:45 p.m., man wanted police to confirm his car’s broken windshield.
4:32 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported in front of Price ‘n Pride. Information exchanged.
5:10 p.m., a cell phone caller reported that a white pickup with a canopy and no driver rolled out of the Bandon True Value Hardware parking lot, down U.S. Highway 101 and came to rest against the side of City Hall near the police department. Damage estimate was to be determined.
5:26 p.m., theft of $20 of gas reported at the Bandon Shell station.
7:45 p.m., transient aid given to a 21-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man who listed Cordova, Tenn., as their hometown.
July 118:14 p.m., runaway girl reported from residence in the 1200 block of June Avenue. Subject later made contact by phone.
July 127:27 p.m., subject in white van has been following teenage girl off and on for the last few days in the area of 12th Street Southeast.
9:26 p.m., man said he was punched in the face in the 400 block of Ninth Street Southeast.
County sheriffJuly 811:16 p.m., checked a suspicious vehicle at Whiskey Run.
July 105:57 p.m., report of children on bicycles dodging in and out of traffic on Highway 101 near Bullards Beach State Park.
2:09 p.m., report of a man with a small child on a motorcycle pulling a bicycle trailer carrying two young children on Rosa Road; no helmets; no deputy in area; logged.
