Gleason Rowe Neibaur
Feb. 10, 1934 - July 10, 2009A private celebration of life will be held for Gleason Rowe Neibaur, 75, of Bandon.
Gleason was born Feb. 10, 1934, in Newdale, Idaho, the son of Adrian and Alta (Rowe) Neibaur. He died July 10, 2009, in North Bend.
He was raised and educated in Newdale. He attended Idaho State University for a year then joined the U.S. Air Force. He attended San Jose State, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering.
He married his first wife, Mary Ann, and they had three children, Gail, Lynne and Craig. They later divorced.
He worked as an electrical engineer for Lockheed, first in California, then in Germany for five years, then back to California. He retired in 1991.
He married Joan Persichetti in 1980. They moved to Bandon in 1992.
He was a volunteer for Shoreline Education For Awareness, enjoyed poker, football and golf.
Gleason is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Gail and Tom Santry of Boston, Mass.; daughter, Lynne Neibaur of San Jose, Calif.; son, Craig and Erica of Richmond, Calif.; brothers, Clyde and Norma of Bancroft, Idaho, and Kent and Anne of Baltimore, Md.; sisters, Karryn and Les Hunter of Twin Falls, Idaho, Iris Hunter of Tangent and Rose Barney of Rexburg, Idaho; and a grandson, Willem Santry of Boston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth.
The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; the Salvation Army; or to any charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Amling/Schroeder Funeral Service, Bandon, 347-2907.
